Homes and businesses in the same tower

Carpenter in JLT —
we work here every week.

JLT is unusual: it's a residential community and a free zone at the same time. A tower here can have apartments on one floor and a company office on the next — so we're as likely to be fitting a reception counter as a wardrobe.

Local knowledge

Why the cluster system matters

JLT's cluster layout genuinely affects the job. Clusters are lettered and each has its own parking, loading and building management — so access rules, permitted working hours and service-lift booking are set per cluster, not for JLT as a whole. Telling us your cluster and tower letter up front saves a wasted trip.

The free-zone side matters too. If your office is a DMCC-licensed company, fit-out often needs approval from both the building and DMCC, particularly for anything fixed or that touches fire and safety. We'll tell you at the quote which approvals your job actually needs, rather than finding out on the day.

Questions

Carpenter in JLT — your questions answered

Do you do office fit-outs in JLT?

Yes — it's a large share of our JLT work because of the DMCC free zone. Reception counters, desks, storage walls and partitions sized for small offices. See office carpentry.

Which JLT clusters do you cover?

All of them, A through Y. Tell us your cluster letter and tower on WhatsApp — access rules and lift booking are set per cluster, so it changes the timing.

Do JLT fit-outs need DMCC approval?

Often, yes — particularly anything fixed or affecting fire and safety. The building will want its own approval too. We'll tell you at the quote which approvals apply rather than discovering it on site.

Can you work outside office hours?

Yes. Most JLT commercial work runs evenings or weekends so the business keeps trading, and so it doesn't disturb residents in the same tower.

Do you work on JLT apartments too?

Yes — wardrobe interiors, sliding door repairs, storage and media walls. Same tower carpentry as the Marina, often at better value. See wardrobes.

Can you fit out a small café or shop in a JLT podium?

Yes. The cluster podiums are full of small units — counters, display and storage are regular work for us, installed out of hours.

How much does a carpenter cost in JLT?

Same rate as everywhere in Dubai — no area premium. Small jobs fixed from AED 150–300; commercial work gets a free site visit. See our price guide.

Carpenter JLT

Carpentry in JLT (Jumeirah Lakes Towers)

Jumeirah Lakes Towers is built as lettered clusters — A through Y — each ringing one of the lakes, with three towers per cluster. What makes JLT different from every other Dubai residential community is DMCC: it's a free zone, so thousands of small companies hold offices in the same towers people live in. That mix defines our work here. A single visit might cover an apartment wardrobe in one tower and a small office fit-out two clusters away.

Whatever the job, the rate is the same as anywhere else in Dubai — there's no JLT premium. Small jobs are fixed price from AED 150–300, larger projects get a 100% free site visit, and we'll always tell you when a repair beats a replacement. Send a photo on WhatsApp with your building or street and we'll come back with a price, usually the same day.
