Custom furniture in Dubai — your questions answered
How much does custom furniture cost in Dubai?
It depends heavily on the material you choose. As a guide from our own recent work: custom tables and desks typically run AED 600–2,600, and a made-to-measure bed AED 600–5,300. Repairs to existing furniture are far cheaper — a bed repair or drawer fix is usually AED 350–450. These are tentative; the firm price comes after we've discussed material and seen the job. Can you build to my exact measurements?
Yes — that's the point of custom. Send the dimensions, or a photo of the space with a rough size, and we build to fit. Awkward corners, low ceilings and odd-shaped rooms are normal work for us.
Can you copy a piece I've seen online?
Yes, and it's one of our most common requests. Send the photo — we'll tell you honestly what it would cost to build in each material, and where we'd improve on it.
What materials can I choose from?
Solid wood, plywood, MDF and veneer, in painted, stained, laminate, PU or lacquer finishes. Material is the single biggest thing that moves the price — we'll talk you through the trade-offs rather than just quoting the most expensive option.
How long does custom furniture take?
Most pieces take 1–3 weeks depending on size and finish. We confirm a timeline with your quote, and we don't start until you're happy with it.
Do you repair or modify existing furniture too?
Yes — around a quarter of what we're asked for is repair and modification rather than new builds. Wobbly beds, broken drawers, resizing a table, or turning one piece into another. Often far cheaper than replacing.
Can you dismantle and move custom furniture?
Yes. Fitted and custom pieces often can't be moved by regular movers. We dismantle, transport-prep and reassemble at the new place.
Do you make kids' furniture?
Yes — bunk beds, loft beds with storage, study desks and playroom units, built with rounded edges and safe fixings.
